Matters to be considered include: New Town Square Scheme, Woodland at David Cock Bequest Land, Tourist Information Office. All Great Dunmow electors are invited to attend to consider these and any other matters relating to the parish.

Inauguration of Dunmow's first Town Mayor in 2000: Councillor Douglas James with Lord BraybrookeGreat Dunmow is an ancient market town in north-west Essex with an estimated population (2008) of 8,480. The Town Council consists of 15 members: 6 representing the North Ward and 9 for the South Ward.

Extensive public open spaces are administered by the Council, as well as the main public hall, a sports pavilion and other buildings. Current projects include construction of a public square in the town centre, opening a tourist information centre and renovating the Parish lock-up.

The Town Council actively defends, promotes and represents Great Dunmow - working hard to ensure the town motto of May Dunmow Prosper continues to be a reality in the future.
