The Committee's responsibilities include:
- Dourdan Pavilion
- Verge cutting
- Jubilee Allotments
- Town Cemetery
- The Foakes for Recreation Trust (a registered charity, of which the Town Council is sole trustee)
- 52 acres of public open space and the facilities located there (including the Skate Park, Talberds Ley Tennis Courts, 4 play areas, a picnic area, the Doctor's Pond and 5 other ponds, commons and woodlands)
The matters coming before the Committee during the year have included:
Additional equipment at the Skate Park
- Wild flower meadow in the Chelmer Valley
- Footpath maps leaflet
- Dourdan Pavilion roof repairs
- Grasscutting contracts
- Review of fees and charges
- Tree and hedge maintenance and new planting
- Recreation Ground Car Park - fencing
- Cemetery - new fencing and improvements to greensward
- 2 community woodlands, new footpath, ditching and fencing at the David Cock Bequest land
- New and replacement play equipment for the Recreation Ground Play Area
- Jubilee allotments - maintenance, capital schemes, sheds, insurance and composting site
- Proposed purchase of land at Lime Tree Hill for public open space
- Maintenance works and improvement of habitat of ponds on Parsonage Downs and Talberds Ley
- Possible acquisition of land at The Broadway for football pitches
- Recreation Ground football pitches - new hiring agreements
- Maintenance of the pentanque pitch at the Recreation Ground
- Talberds Ley - resurfacing of footpaths and fencing of Play Area
- Litter collection
- New seats
